ALEN Security

The American Law Enforcement Network wireless network consists entirely of  Law Enforcement agencies. The American law enforcement network provides secure access to federal (NCIC), state, and local law enforcement data in a cost effective manner to all size departments.

ALEN significantly reduces upfront agency cost through the removal of the agency need for expensive servers, routers or firewalls. The ALEN team also eliminates the need for the law enforcement agency to incur the added expense of implementing a wireless network or infrastructure.

This ALEN security authentication includes CDMA technology as well as AAA servers to provide authentication, authorization and accounting of each device accessing the ALEN network.

All wireless devices are also required to have a secondary form of authentication to verify the officer’s access to the system. This secondary form of authentication follows the rules of "something you know, something you are, something you have."

The ALEN wireless network offers the following law enforcement features:

  • Secure, immediate, wireless access to NCIC, NLETS and State CJIS data.
  • Total implementation of wireless set up and access followed by 24/7 support of software.
  • A secure web based portal for administrators. This portal enables administrators to run reports and audit both users and devices on their system.
  • Access restrictions can be set for each individual user.
  • Agencies can easily add one or multiple devices to their network at any time in their expansion.
  • Integration of information sharing with other subscribing agencies on the ALEN wireless network.
